Leadership narrative

The first time I gave a safety briefing, my hands were shaking and I was certain everyone could hear it in my voice. I kept showing up anyway. Over time I learned how to read conditions, support nervous snorkellers, and lead with calm instead of volume. Becoming a senior snorkel guide taught me that leadership is mostly about preparation and trust. Through my Duke of Edinburgh Silver journey, I carried that same mindset into service, teamwork, and responsibility — doing the work, then helping others believe they can do it too.
