Overview

Through the Silver Award I developed practical leadership across service, sport, creative skill-building, and expedition challenge. The Spirit of Adventure voyage and group fundraising strengthened my teamwork, resilience, and communication under pressure. The programme gave me a structured way to connect personal growth with community impact.

Field notes

My skills component focused on ocean-themed ceramics, while my physical component included regular swimming training and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

For the service component, I recorded volunteering contributions and reflected on how consistency builds trust in conservation teams. During the voyage, I practised leadership in rotating ship duties where accountability mattered every day.
